Do you like flossing? I certainly did not I until I found my oral irrigator.
In fact oral orrigators are really important to use because they go deeper under the gums than regular flossing or tooth picks, to dislodge the bacteria. This bacteria is what causes gum disease, gingivitis, bleeding and painful gums. In time, if it isn't treated, it causes gum recession. Your teeth can become more sensitive and even get loose if it goes too far. At some point it can become irreversible.
